Martin: The journey: Houses in the barrios, Tucson

"Here was my little house," says the aunt in Patricia Preciado Martin's story; and perhaps it was a house something like the one to the right, also built from adobe. Below are more pictures of houses in Tucson's oldest neighborhoods; the two on the right are made of adobe; the one on the left is not, but is included because of the beautiful red bougainvillea out front, like the bougainvillea in the aunt's memory.
