This award is designated for USAIN members who have demonstrated leadership in advancing the field of agricultural information and who have established new directions or visions for the field.
2006
JoAnn DeVries , formerly Coordinator for Collection Development and Management in Agricultural, Biological, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Minnesota, in recognition of her exceptional record of professional leadership, research and scholarship during 1991-2006.
2005
Toni Greider, Associate Dean for Research & Education for Universityof Kentucky Libraries, in recognition of her visionary leadership in establishing USAIN as a viable component of the national agricultural information community and her many contributions in the international information arena.
2003
James Horsfield (posthumously awarded), USDA economist instrumental in developing AgEcon Search.
M. Kay Mowery, for her leadership and contributions to USAIN and to agricultural information in general.
2001
Pamela Q. J. Andre, former Director of the National Agricultural Library, for her outstanding efforts in areas such as the development of AgNIC, digital preservation, and international outreach.

Honorary Memberships are given to individuals who are not members of USAIN, but who have been either an outstanding individual in the field of agricultural information or who have provided outstanding service and support to the Network.
2006
Sarah Thomas was one of USAIN's charter members and served as a leader in agricultural librarianship at the National Agriculture Library and Cornell University. Ms. Thomas is currently the Director of University Library Services at Oxford University.
2001
Nancy Eaton, Dean of Libraries, Penn State University, for her work in the early development of USAIN, and for her pioneering activities in the electronic dissemination of information, such as AgNIC and the National Agricultural Text Digitizing Program;
Jan Kennedy Olsen, formerly Director of Mann Library at Cornell, for her visionary and pioneering activities in the field, including the development of the national preservation program for agricultural information;
Sam Demas, College Librarian and Senior Lecturer at Carleton College Library, for his leadership and direction, also in the development of the national preservation program for agricultural information.
