Research I have spent the greater part of my professional career in the administration of international agricultural research and development programs outside the United States. I have a keen interest in teaching, particularly in conveying some of the lessons learned in my diverse international experience to students interested in international agriculture. My current research focuses on improving water management and conservation in aridlands. In particular I am working on rainwater harvesting as an important source of water and halophyte irrigation as a means of utilizing brine streams from power plants and desalting plants. |
