South pole activities include the development of a greenhouse for production of fresh vegetables.  This greenhouse was designed and built in Tucson, AZ by the CEAC; was shipped to the South pole; and installed by ABE students and staff.  Lane Patterson, ABE MS student lived at the South Pole for 4 months to grow tomatoes, peppers, and lettuce.
