The University of Arizona's Arizona Community Training (ACT) leadership program provides participants with valuable skills and knowledge in understanding and enhancing leadership abilities in working with community groups. The ACT leadership program is a research-based curriculum of current practices and theories designed to build capacity for grassroots leadership. Program Goals:

The ACT leadership program is designed to develop leadership skills of community people so they can mobilize and take action for the community common good. The curriculum is in a modular format to present information and offer experiences that enhance individual, as well as team knowledge of community leadership and action. The curriculum moves the learner from awareness, conceptualization, articulation, and application to integration of skills and concepts learned.
