- A minimum of one year's successful post graduate experience in teaching, extension or similar educational work is prerequisite to admission to the Master of Agricultural Education degree program.
- Evidence of candidate's experience shall be based upon a minimum of two letters of recommendation to the head of the Department of Agricultural Education from persons who have had administrative authority over the candidate's professional work experience. In addition, a professional portfolio is required.
- A minimum of thirty-two (32) units of graduate course work is required to complete the MS of Agricultural Education degree, with a minimum of 20 units in agriculture or agricultural education.
- A thesis is not required, but all candidates must complete a Master's Report (AED 909).
- In addition, the following course is required: AED 615.
- Candidates must also complete 9 units of credit from a list provided by faculty advisors.
- The candidate must present a seminar, which will be open to the public, based upon the results of the Master's Report, in order to complete the degree.
- Satisfactory performance on both a comprehensive written examination and the oral presentation of the Master's report is necessary for completion of degree requirements.
- A maximum of 9 units of credit in AED 599, 699 and 597 combined may be used toward degree requirements.
- A five chapter Master's Report Proposal Review is a required activity of all graduate students pursuing the Master of Agricultural Education degree. It is intended to provide the graduate examination committee with details of the student's anticipated project upon which the Master's Report is based.
- The proposal for the Master's Report (AED 909) must be approved by the candidate's graduate committee prior to data collection.
