The University of Arizona Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs are planned, developed and implemented by teams of scientists organized under the Arizona Pest Management Center (APMC). Our programs address priority research and education needs in agricultural, natural and built environments. Our goal is to increase the ability of Arizona citizens and professional pest managers to put IPM knowledge into practice in diverse environments, with the result of reducing environmental, human health and economic risks. In 2012, the US Environmental Protection Agency awarded the APMC the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program Gold Tier "Shining Star" Award in recognition of our tremendous documented achievements in school, housing and agricultural IPM. Our IPM programs are all driven by extramural sources of funding. We appreciate the support of our stakeholders through grants, contracts, and individual and group gifts and donations to our programs.
