ART is a designated service center in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences providing geographic information systems (GIS) services for research, instruction, and extension.

ART's primary focus is the provision of professional GIS services and products for clients at The University of Arizona and other regional entities. ART has completed projects in Arizona, California, and Mexico, with groups such as the National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S.D.A. Forest Service, Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, Arizona State Lands and National Science Foundation.
