Reducing
Spam with Filters
Email filters can help reduce unwanted spam. They do this
by examining each incoming message for particular attributes
such as a particular sender or subject line. When an incoming
message fits the filter's pattern, the message is discarded.
The most effective rules to use in your filters will depend
on the spam you receive. For example, if you get a lot of
messages with the word DEBT in the subject line, make a filter
that deletes such messages. Or, if you get a lot of spam
from a particular sender, filter out that sender.
If you want to filter out spam from many sources or types,
make a filter for each, using one filtration rule per filter.
