DeForest Lewis, Jr., helped trench for the irrigation and operated other heavy machinery needed to clear the yard.

Valley Rentals (now Rental Service Corp.) donated the use of their equipment.

After months of dragging hoses from the main University building, the Center finally had water thanks to Struse Plumbing.

 

 

Pespi Cola donated eight 55 gallon barrels to the Center. Water harvesting systems were constructed for each of the buildings. 

Over a dozen folks attended a water harvesting workshop sponsored by the Center and built the system seen here.  

One of these systems support a wildlife drinker in the demonstration garden.

 

Jan Groth not only helped organize the construction of the Center, offered the use of her trailer, but also temporarily held barrel cacti in her yard until the Center was completed.
