Plot configuration

Plot 1

High frequency irrigation.  Permanent 80" (2.0 m) beds containing three drip lines spaced 19" (48 cm) apart and 9" (23 cm) deep.

Plot 2

High frequency irrigation.  Configured as 40" (2.0 m) beds with a single drip in bed center, 9" (23 cm) deep.

Plot 3

Low frequency irrigation.  Permanent 80" (2.0 m) beds containing three drip lines spaced 19" (48 cm) apart and 9" (23 cm) deep.

Plot 4

Furrow irrigation.  40" beds.

Plot 5

Low frequency irrigation.  Configured as 40" (2.0 m) beds with a single drip in bed center, 9" (23 cm) deep.

We had originally anticipated introducing Jalapeno Chiles into our rotation this season, but due to the prohibitive cost of seed we opted to repeat a season of cotton. This provides us the opportunity to work toward improving the germination issues encountered last season.
