Evaluations and Reviews
Performance evaluations for classified staff are completed annually on the anniversary of the hiring date. Visit the UA Human Resources website for a variety of performance evaluation forms with instructions.
Faculty, appointed professionals, and administrators prepare annual reports. UA Vitae is the annual performance report used for all CALS faculty and available online.
Unit Annual Reports and Evaluations
Each unit prepares an annual report reviewed annually in a budget and planning session with the Executive Council. Each academic department periodically undergoes an academic program review by the university and an institutional (program) review by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA)—these are coordinated as a single review and occur approximately every seven years. Some non-academic units have "sunset reviews" every five years. CALS submits an annual update on its five-year Plan of Work to the US Department of Agriculture covering Cooperative Extension and Agricultural Experiment Station programs.
