Tip #27

Searching the Dreamweaver database

I wanted to draw your attending to the Technical Notes database found on the Macromedia site. If you go to: www.macromedia.com/support/dreamweaver/ you will see a variety of links for additional help for the new user and the more experienced user.

I have highlighted here the link to search the technical notes and tutorial database. If you type in a phrase, the default is to look for any word in the phrase. For example, I will briefly address templates in Tip #28, but you could search their database for technical notes and information about templates, if this is something you want to explore more on your own.

Particularly as your familiarity with the program increases, it is good to keep this technical notes database in mind, as a source for finding information on features and seeing comments about bugs or inconsistencies in how the program works.

Keep in mind that results that are returned can be tips related to any of the releases of Dreamweaver.

I found an interesting list by searching under tutorials. It is a list of websites which have other information/tutorials about Dreamweaver or products sold by Macromedia. This web page is at www.macromedia.com/support/dreamweaver/ts/documents/dream_websites.htm#tutos
