Functions:

The Multimedia Laboratory is an advanced computer lab specifically designed to faciliate the creation of multimedia assets.  The CML provides the following capabilities:

  • Video editing
  • Image editing and manipulation
  • Scanners (flatbed and photographic slide scanners are available)
  • CD writing
  • High-resolution video projection
  • Networking connections to the campus and the Internet
  • VHS Video Projection

Computer Multimedia Lab development/training facility contains:

  • Twelve computers, Pentium 2.2GHz or 233 MHz with MMX, 256megs RAM, 20GB Hard drives, 32x CD-R/RW, 17" monitor.
  • Additional devices include four 35 MM slide scanners (two have auto feed trays that holds 50 slides each).
  • two flat bed scanner.
  • video capture devices that do real time video capture, compression, and editing. 1394 input card available for video input.
  • Software includes Microsoft Office XP Suite.
  • Video capture/editing software in use: Adobe Premiere, Windows Media Encoder, Real Producer, MGI VideoWave, and Media Cleaner.
