Getting iTunes for your computer
To participate in a podcast series, be it an audio series or a video with audio series, you need to have iTunes installed on your computer. You don't need an iPod.

iTunes is available for both Mac machines and Windows machines. Go to www.apple.com/itunes/download to get a free copy of iTunes. Then install it on your computer.
Subscribing to the Web Tips podcast series
Over the next several months, I will be issuing podcasts on various web tips. Some will deal with Dreamweaver, some with creating and modifying web graphics, some with style sheets, some with templates, and other selected tips, like getting statistical reports, creating HTML and Adobe forms, and using tools like Firebug. These podcasts will not be released at a given time, but typically I expect to issue on the average two to four a month. To subscribe to these, so they are downloaded to your local computer when you open iTunes, click on the subscribe button below. The podcasts will vary in length from 3 minutes to some which last 20 or more minutes.

Subscribe to web tips podcast Once you subscribe to this series, whenever you open iTunes, it will go to the website with the podcasts in this series and download the most current podcast. The other podcasts in the series released to date will be referenced, but won't be downloaded until you click on the [GET] button. You might need to refresh the display, if you don't see any new podcasts since you last connected.

If you choose to get all of the podcasts, they are then stored on your local computer, so you can view them as many times as you wish, without using your Internet connection to see a video clip. You would view them through the iTunes program.

These podcasts consist of screen captures of various applications with explanatory text. They are intended to be viewed on your computer, and may not show well because of the text in the screen capturs on a small iPod.
