For several years now, the World Wide Web Consortium that sets standards for the web have wanted people to not use tables for page layout, but instead use style sheet rules. We are in the process of putting together some sample web layouts, which all use the University of Arizona banner, that are done with style sheet rules.

These are the looks of the different layouts. Although gray is a common color or backgrounds and headers, you could use any color that matched your site look. Watch for a notice to web-contacts when files for these layouts are ready to be downloaded.
