Research and Interests:
I am researching pollen-mediated gene flow between Bt cotton and non-Bt field refuges. Specifically, I am investigating how bee population size and non-Bt refuge size influence the degree to which gene flow occurs. I also plan to study the impacts of gene flow on evolution of resistance to the Bt toxin in the pink bollworm by conducting a series of bioassays on hybrid cotton seeds.
