Research and Interests:
I am interested in the systematics and taxonomy of the beetle family, Tenebrionidae. For my thesis, I am working on a revision and molecular phylogeny of the genus Coniontis. I will also examine the utility of molecular data in discerning species boundaries among morphologically similar species. I also plan on conducting a preliminary examination of the higher level phylogeny for the family using DNA sequence data.
