Entomology: Applying to Graduate School

Application for graduate study in Entomology at the University of Arizona is a two-step process:
- Admission Requirements to be sent to Graduate Admissions online:
- Submit the online Graduate College Application Form and send the US$75.00 application fee to the Graduate College.
- GRE (www.GRE.org) Our school code is 4832; our department code is 99.
- For applicants from countries in which English is not the official language, have your scores on the TOEFL exam sent to the University of Arizona (TOEFL Code: 4832). See the Graduate College website for more details on the TOEFL requirement.
- Mail the following to:

- Entomology Application Form (Word document) OR (pdf file)
- A copy of the Graduate College Application Form that you submitted online
- Original transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Three original letters of recommendation from faculty, supervisors, or professional mentors
- Your Curriculum Vitae or resume
- A 1- to 2-page statement of interest explaining your reasons for attending graduate school, research interests, and professional goals
APPLICATION DEADLINE: The GIDP in Entomology and Insect Science ordinarily accepts new students only for the fall semester. The deadline for applications is December 1. Interviews typically begin in early February for fall admission. If it is not possible to send GRE scores for arrival by December 1, please contact Sharon Richards at insects@arl.arizona.edu.
