Tuesday Morning NotesNovember 2, 1999http://cals.arizona.edu/extension/register.html Please contact Jack Roberts if you have any questions at 520/621-7209. * Arizona is one of nine new states selected to participate in
an extended pilot of the MiniSociety(TM) entrepreneurship curriculum for
youth ages 8-12 during the summer of 2000 and the following school year.
Arizona will receive all the curriculum materials; an expense paid three-day
training at the National 4-H Center Jan. 23-25 for six individuals per
state who will actually work with youth; and implementation grants of $20,000
for each pilot state through a grant from the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial
Leadership at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, Missouri.
The six pilot counties are: Apache, Coconino, Graham, Maricopa, Pinal,
and Santa Cruz. The grant is initially for one year with opportunity for
renewal. Jolie Ogg-Graybill will serve as state contact. Congratulations!
