Tuesday Morning Notes

October 3rd, 2000

We received a special request from La Paz County asking us to post their CORRECT address in Tuesday Morning Notes. The address changed last January, the correct address is P.O. Box 3485, Parker, AZ 85344-3485. Numerous notices have been sent but they are still getting much of their mail from campus offices with the old address. The Post Office is now starting to return mail instead of forwarding it. They often receive mail that has past dates and/or extremely short time lines because of the delay due to the use of the old address. Please make a note of this very important change. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

* This is the final call for people interested in having a poster display for Cotton Field Day at the Maricopa Agricultural Center next Wednesday, October 11 from 8-Noon. To reserve a spot for your display, contact Ed Martin at (520) 568-2273 or email at edmartin@cals.arizona.edu.

The Graduate Fellowship is designed to support graduate research while the Fellow assists in the development of geospatial demonstration tools for natural resource education. A Graduate Fellowship includes a $16,000 stipend for one year, with the possibility for renewal a second year. It also includes both in- and out-of-state tuition waivers, registration fee waivers, student health insurance, and funds for lab and fieldwork (up to $3,000 in cost-share provided by the sponsoring department). Candidates must be graduate students at the University of Arizona, an Equal Opportunity Employer. Applications are particularly encouraged from members of under-represented groups and from women. Applications are due by November 17, 2000.
