* Congratulations to Paul Baker, and several co-principal investigators,
for
receiving a $75,000 USDA Agricultural Telecommunication Grant to develop
Phase
2 of their National Model for Technology Enhanced Pesticide Applicator
Training. Phase 2 will establish workable partnerships to reach the
critical
mass for making the national system organizationally, structurally, and

* V Bar V Ranch Field Day on August 26, 2000. The UofA invites the public
to
the V Bar V Ranch Agricultural Experiment Station/Environmental Education
Center to learn more about northern Arizona ranching and natural
resources.
The cost of the tour is $5 for students, $10 for adults, and includes bus
transportation from Camp Verde, Flagstaff or Phoenix to the ranch summer
headquarters at Happy Jack, and a beef lunch. Please call the Cottonwood

* APROL (Annual Performance Reports On-line) Training Workshop. APROL
support staff is offering a training workshop on Tuesday, September 12th
at 3:00 PM on
the UA campus in Forbes 124 to all College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences
Faculty and Staff. This workshop will introduce faculty and staff to the
on-line reporting system called APROL. All Extension Faculty are required
to
submit their Annual Performance Report (APR) through APROL for the 2000
calendar year. All CALS Faculty will be required to submit their APRs
using
APROL beginning the 2001 calendar year. So get a jump start on your APRs
now!!
