* The Distributed Learning Team, with funds provided by College Administration, is soliciting proposals to enhance our distributed learning capacity in the college. A total of $20,000 will be awarded. College faculty and academic professionals may submit proposals, with a deadline of November 1. * Corky Poster, his students in the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture program, and the Drachman Institute have announced their List of Projects for the upcoming year. Two of the projects are: A) a request for assistance from Mohave County to develop a long term development plan for the Mohave County Fairgrounds. The project will be developed in the Fall of 2000 and the Spring of 2001 as either a Capstone project for a 5th year Architecture student or a group project in the Interdisciplinary Community Design Studio. B) The Town of Parker is in the midst of a very difficult decision regarding the direction of its future growth. They have requested assistance in the preparation of a vision plan to guide the future development and planning of a large area to the south of the Town. This project will be done in 2000-01 either as a Planning Master Student Report or a project in the 611 Projects course in the School of Planning. In either case it will be done under the direction of the Director of the School of Planning, Professor Barbara Becker. Congratulations!
