* Plans are being made for an "Annual Performance Report - Writing with
Impacts" workshop on Wednesday, December 12, 10-3, on campus. Please hold
this date - further details are forthcoming.
* Many of us have family members or personally deal with health issues.
This year in the State Government, health plans with CIGNA have some major
changes. Check them over carefully. It is particularly important to look
carefully at the "Transition of Care" for anyone or a family member with
chronic illness and are on an HMO. It is less of an issue for those on a
PPO. Don't assume that treatments for pre-existing conditions will
continue. You may have to complete extra paperwork and documentation
related to the "Transition of Care" issue. Contact CIGNA Member Services at
1-800-613- 4563 for more information.
* Shirley O'Brien will be conducting the annual sabbatic leave conference
call which has been set for Thursday, September 13 at 1:00pm. If you are
interested in becoming a candidate for sabbatical leave in 2002, you will
want to be "on-line" for this discussion. The purpose of the call is to
offer suggestions for successful submissions, to discuss the requirements
for eligibility, and to share information on any new policies. Contact
Steven Crofts at 621-7145 or scrofts@cals.arizona.edu to sign up for the
call. Teleconference dial-in information and an agenda will be sent out to
participants prior to the call.
* Coming Attraction!! Look for CALS 3rd Annual Shirt Order offer. Be sure
