Based on my reading of the Board of Regents meeting last week in Yuma, it looks like faculty and staff will get $1,450.00 (based on FTE) effective June 6, 2002.

*Don't forget to register for the Conference on Native American Issues: Professionals in Outreach Education. The conference is April 11-12, 2002 at the Arizona Historical Society, located at 949 E. *Electronic class on doing web forms using Dreamweaver and Formhandler, will start April 10, with material posted once a week. Time commitments are 2-4 hours per week. The final class project is due May 15. This class covers creating the form in Dreamweaver, and adapting it to work with FormHandler. To take this class you need to be very familiar with Dreamweaver basics, including defining a site, changing text traits, adding graphics, and using tables and links. You also need to have an account on the AgServer. An optional face-to-face class which you may take in conjunction with this class is a hands-on class on using Formhandler, on May 8, 1-3:30, Forbes 124. *The University of Arizona Ranch to Rail Team presented "Arizona Beef Cattle: From Conception to Consumer" conference March 20-21, 2002, at the University of Arizona Meat Science Laboratory. This workshop, attended by over 40 livestock producers, feedlot operators, educators and other interested clientele, was sponsored by the Arizona Beef Council, Arizona Cattle Association, Ft. Dodge Animal Health, Elanco Animal Health, Department of Animal Sciences and Cooperative Extension. Presenters included Johnny Treichel, Jeril Benedict, Robert Kattnig, David Schaefer, David Hartman, Clay Mathis, Carlos Jury, Peder Cuneo, Will Holder, John Marchello, Wendy Brake, and Sandy Eastlake. Members of the Ranch to Rail Team include Rob Grumbles, Dean Fish, Jim Sprinkle, Russ Tronstad, David Schafer, Jeril Benedict, Carlos Jury, and Peder Cuneo.

*The 13th Annual All Native American Indian Livestock Field Day will be held Thursday, April 25, at Peach Springs, Arizona on the Hualapai Nation from 9:00am-4:00pm. The event is sponsored by the Southwest Indian Agricultural Association (SWIAA) and the University of Arizona CALS and hosted by the Hualapai Nation. Pre-registration is due by April 10. *The Community Planning and Design Workshop of the University of Arizona announces the issuance of its year 2002 Requests for Proposals for Planning and Design Assistance. The RFP is intended for neighborhood organizations, small cities and towns, rural associations and non-profit organizations seeking assistance in community planning and design.
