This course will explore the weed management strategies available and will utilize the expertise of local and regional specialists. The course will be developed into two tracks-a beginning track for those just getting started on the journey of noxious/invasive weeds and a second track focusing upon a more advanced set of issues and topics for those who have journeyed longer. Registration fee is: $150 per person or $175 per person after July 15 and at the door. *WATCHING A DEMO CLASS WHILE IN YOUR OFFICE: ECAT is experimenting with different ways to provide training and classes other than a face-to-face mode, and will be offering four classes this summer using a web-conferencing system from the University of Illinois. The class topics and dates are: An Overview to Dreamweaver 4.0, July 17, 10-11:30; Web Basics in Photoshop 6, July 31, 9-10:15; Web Basics in Fireworks 4, August 8, 9-10:15; Using the Rotating Script on the AgServer, August 13, 1-2:15. What is different about these classes is that you take them while in your office, using a phone (a conference phone call) so you can hear and ask questions, and AT THE SAME TIME use the browser on your computer to connect to a special website which will let you see the instructor's computer screen. The cost of the system is $13 per hour. Following a class each participant will be billed for the number of minutes the class lasted. More details about the coverage of each class and its prerequisites are at http://cals.arizona.edu/ecat/classes/. There is also a link on this page for the registration form. If you are interested in taking a class using this system, but the dates are not good for you, send a private email to ffolinda@cals.arizona.edu.

*We are saddened to report that Victoria Wesley's mother passed away on Tuesday, July 16.
