Presentations by Steve Husman, Jim Walworth, Bill McCloskey, and Bob Roth informed growers in topics including conservation tillage, PM-10 issues, twin-line planting, and insect pest resistance. Congratulations to our Extension cotton team for an informative program and a thank you to Dan Foster, Farm Manager, for all his efforts.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has funded two new watershed education programs: Nonpoint Education for Municipal Officials (NEMO) and Master Watershed Steward (MWS). Each is funded for three years. This meeting is to begin the process of integrating NEMO, MWS, and Project WET to create a comprehensive approach to watershed education for adult and youth audiences across Arizona. You are invited to attend a watershed education planning meeting on November 20, 2003, 10am to 2pm at the Ocotillo Room at the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension office. Please indicate if you are interested in participating by sending an email to Jeff Schalau (jschalau@ag.arizona.edu) by November 5, 2003. Each participant will be sent a packet of materials that will need to be reviewed before the meeting. Lunch will be provided.
