The CALS-Millenium Oversight Committee subgroup, "Fair Community," has put
together a Workload Assessment Survey for faculty. The survey's purpose is
to find out your perception of how your time is spent on specific
assignments. The information will be used to analyze workload assignments to
ensure a fair community within CALS. The survey is anonymous and

The following is an "extended thanks" based on last week's message. I didn'
t
want to overlook anyone. Thanks to all who attended last week's Southwest
Indian Agriculture Association meetings in Laughlin, NV. Over 250 people
from 16 states attended. Bob Roth and Phil Hartmann (MAC) were honored by
SWIAA for their long-term support of Indian Country agriculture. CALS
speakers included Dave Cox, Linda Masters, Liz Didier, Matt Livingston,
Jeannie Benally, Gerald Moore, Sabrina Tuttle, Peder Cuneo, Russ Tronsted,
Trent Teegerstrom, Jenny Jones and Joe Hiller. Dean Sander presented
long-time CARET member Mr. Elliott Booth with a nice plaque at the banquet
and later met with the SWIAA board. Also in attendance were JimChristenson,
Stan Farlin, Anthony Chavez, Dana Flowers, Joseph Brewer, Dotty Spears,
and Erin Taylor.
Sharon Megdal and Gabriel Colbaugh put together an Arizona water map that
will be helpful for those that are interested. Please see the following
