Congratulations to Joanne Littlefield who received her Masters of Mass
Communication degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass
Communication at Arizona State University in December 2004. Joanne is the
Information Specialist Coordinator for ECAT and writes for Arizona Delivers.
Her final project was a visual content analysis of the front page images
during 2003 and an ethnographic study of the photographic staff at the
Navajo Times, a weekly newspaper published on the Navajo Nation at Window
Rock.
George Zaimes joined the School of Natural Resources Watershed Resources
Program this month as the Assistant Extension Specialist in Watershed,
Riparian and Rangeland Management. George is a recent Ph.D. graduate in
Water Resources from Iowa State University. Through this new position
George will develop a statewide extension program on watershed and riparian
management for public and private lands. He is officed in Bio Sciences

January 21: Getting Statistical Information About Activity on Your Website,
11:00-12:00, Forbes 124, Linda Ffolliott. Linda will demonstrate some of
the reports available through Urchin, which can be run on any site that is
on the http://cals.arizona.edu server. Besides seeing overall pageviews and
sessions for a given time period, you can see the most commonly viewed pages
on your site and also determine an estimate of pageviews from the
individuals creating the site versus everyone else. To register go to

January 25-27: 17th Annual Southwest Indian Agricultural Association (SWIAA)
Annual Conference, Laughlin, Nevada. A diverse program is planned that

February 4: "Talk on Campus About Website Accessibility"demonstration talk,
10:00-11:30, Forbes 124, Dawn Hunziker. Dawn, who is with the UA Disability
Resource Center, will talk about these features and other common problems,
how you can fix these inaccessible pages, and will show various tools you
can use to test your site for accessibility. To attend, register at

an important issue for those putting up Extension sites and especially need
