Tuesday Morning Notes

March 29, 2005

Thanks to all who participated in the excellent training session on cash handling, crime prevention/employee safety, background checks for new employees, driving policies and much more held in the Maricopa County office earlier this month. In retrospect the audit which we just finished was a good thing because it resulted in the training that was provided. We have a much better understanding of University policies and will be doing a better job of following those policies as we move forward. The discussion stimulated many questions whose answers will hopefully provide even more clarification. About 50 faculty and staff attended representing Maricopa, Mohave, Pinal, La Paz, Yavapai, Apache, and Graham counties as well as the Maricopa Ag Center.

The 27th year of the Arizona/Utah Range Livestock Workshop will be held April 5 at the St. George, UT Fairgrounds, April 6 at the Kanab, UT-Red Hills Inn Hotel and April 7 at the Kanab Field Demonstration Day.
