Congratulations to Randy Norton who has been named Director of the Safford Agricultural Center and Assistant Regional Specialist with Soils, Water & Environmental Sciences. In addition, he retains his appointment as Assistant Agent, continuing eligible.

Congratulations to Joanne Littlefield for receiving the 2005 Award of Excellence in Electronic Media presented by the Association for Communication Excellence (ACE). This is excellent recognition of her work, given by her peers and colleagues.

UPCOMING DATES:

May 12: Producing Quality, Healthy Livestock workshop will be held from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Elks Lodge in Willcox. Main topics include: Livestock Quality Assurance, National Animal Identification System, and ALIRT (Animal Livestock Incidence Response Team). In addition to being useful for all livestock producers, it will certify beef producers for the RBQA program. Cost will be $10 per participant; $25 per ranch for RBQA certification.
