Our best wishes for success go to Joe Leisz who has accepted the position of
Executive Director of the 4-H Foundation at Iowa State University effective
July 1, 2005. The U of A Development Office will provide leadership during a
transition period as we seek a new leader for the 4-H Foundation and
continue to resolve all the audit issues raised by the U of A. We anticipate
a busy transition. Again congratulations to Joe. A reception for Joe will be
held on June 27th. At 3:30 in Forbes.
Monday, June 6 is the deadline to submit your nominations for Extension
Faculty of the Year and Extensionist of the Year awards. We need to
recognize both our faculty and our strong contributors. The Faculty of the
Year awards will be presented at the Annual Conference in August. The
Extensionist of the Year award will be presented at next years CALS Annual

There seems to be a little confusion about faculty position descriptions.
These were originally requested in the Fall of 1997. Copies of each were
sent to the Dean's Office, signed by the dean, then the original returned to
the department for filing. Every time there is a change to a position
description, it should be printed out from APROL, signed by the department
head and forwarded to Dean Sander for signature. The original signed copy
will then be returned to the department and we keep a copy here in the
Dean's Office. These descriptions do not normally change often. Most
departments and county offices are doing a fine job with this process. If
you cannot find updated positions in your file, we can make you a copy of
what we have on file.
UPCOMING DATES:
May 31- For UA Extension working in forestry there will be a Forestry
meeting held at the Maricopa County Extension office from 9:30-2:30, in the
Saguaro meeting room.
