I'd like to wish John Begeman all the best on his pending retirement from his position at the Pima County Extension office on April 30. John has been with us for over 13 years as an urban horticulture agent and will be missed.
After 13 years as Associate Dean and Director of Academic Programs, Dr. David Cox will retire on May 25, 2009. He will return immediately on a 49% basis as associate dean for the 2009-10 academic year. Dave has been an essential part of the CALS team. We very much appreciate his ongoing leadership and support of the college.
On Friday, April 17, from 10:00am-2:30pm, Arizona Cooperative Extension and the Central Arizona Land Trust will once again conduct a "Ranching in the Future" workshop in northern Arizona. Information about estate planning, land protection options and county planning and zoning issues will be provided for ranchers and other interested parties. This edition will be held at Yavapai College's Chino Valley Campus. For more information or a flyer, contact Erik Glenn (erikg@cals.arizona.edu, 928.899.4595).
