Apply/Become an Intern

Student Handbook | Apply/Become an Intern | Find an Agency | Coursework

The Service Learning Internship Program is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the community through working with human service organizations. To become involved in the internship program, you must do an internship placement search and submit a completed application.

Service Learning Internship Application Instructions

  1. Make an appointment to see your academic advisor. You will consider whether you are ready for the experience, explore placement ideas, and get answers to your questions before you proceed with the placement search and application process.
  2. Complete agency search and selection. You are responsible for arranging your internship placement. The Service Learning Coordinator will help you in the selection process. Please go to "Find an Agency" to see a list of our community partners.
  3. Complete application and submit to the Service Learning Coordinator. Once you have agreed upon your placement site with your agency supervisor, you must complete and submit the registration forms as indicated in the packet.

Please read through the application packet before making an appointment with the Service Learning Coordinator. You can get the packet from the rack outside of FCS 216, or download the following items. You may need Adobe or other PDF reader to open the documents. You can download a free copy of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com
