Scholarly Interests and Activities
Anita D. Bhappu is Associate Professor in Retailing and Consumer Sciences as well as Research Fellow at the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing, which is part of the John and Doris Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Arizona. She was previously on the faculty at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Anita received her Ph.D. in Management from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. She studies a variety of issues pertaining to the performance of diverse work teams, as well as service delivery and E-Commerce. Her research is published in the Academy of Management Review, International Journal of E-Collaboration, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Service Research, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Work and Occupations.
She serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Human Relations, Information Systems Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Management Information Systems Quarterly, Organization Science, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. Prior to her academic career, Anita was a chemical engineer for the Procter & Gamble Company. She loves to travel, enjoys ethnic cuisines, and frequently dabbles in the creative arts.
