Transformation Info - Uncertainties
-- a university of arizona course on methods and approaches for studying the future

There are an enormous number of uncertainties. Listing them all is not useful, but identifying a few important ones that cover a range of situations helps you think about the possible while recognizing nothing is assured. One of the important conclusions of recognizing the role of uncertainty is to show how difficult it is to forecast the future, especially when using models or extrapolating trends. Techniques such as this build on our current understanding and data, something that might change in the future. These concerns become more important the farther you look into the future.

Check the viewpoints of selected futurists (including areas where they agree and disagree).
