Policies and Procedures
College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Governance Approach

The college follows policies of the Arizona Board of Regents and the University of Arizona, but in addition, there are specific policies and procedures for our college.

Arizona Board of Regents Policies
The Arizona Board of Regents sets policy for all three Arizona state universities. This link connects you with the Policy Manual, which may be the best source of information if you want the background and perspective of guidance to the campuses.

University of Arizona Policies
Policies for the University of Arizona are not in one place. The above link goes to an web page that catalogs a number of policies, but if you do not find what you are looking for, you may want to ask someone or do a search on the UA main web page.

CALS Administrative Policies and Procedures
The CALS Administrative Services Office provides a list of administrative policies and procedures as well as business tips, lists of related links, and training opportunities.

USDA Policy Guidance
The cooperative effort of colleges of agriculture with the US Department of Agriculture works through the USDA CREEES (Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service). Individual policies can be found on that site, as they relate to research and extension. Academic policies are set by the University of Arizona. CREES also participates, jointly, with the University of Arizona Academic Program Reviews (approximately each 7 years each academic department has an external and campus review).

Unit Policies
Individual college units may have policies of their own. These would be listed under the unit.
