The Arizona Osteoporosis Coalition is presently
structured to include several committees where the bulk of the coalition's
mission is carried out. Below are descriptions of the committees
and their respective chair. Please consider where you talents and
resources would best be used and contact them to assist them in
the objectives of that group.
Public Policy
Reviews or proposes public policy realted to osteoporosis; identifies
key policy makers to support change; develops grassroots support for
policy issues and identifies funding resources.

Communication
Develops appropriate recruitment materials; communicates with media
about coalition activities; plans and implements multiple strategies
to increase public awareness of osteoporosis.

Education
Develops and implements educational strategies and programs for lay
and professional audiences; establishes and maintains osteoporosis
information access via a toll free number and the Internet.

Data
Identifies and gathers statewide data on osteoporosis; uses data for
planning and evaluation of services provided through the coalition;
provides information to support policy recommendations and coalition
