Master Gardener Garden Tour
March 24, 2007 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Garden Tour presented by Master Gardener Volunteers from the University of Arizona, Maricopa County Cooperative Extension
What, When and Where
The 6th annual Master Gardener Real Gardens for Real People Tour will be held Saturday, March 24, 2007 in the Camelback Corridor area. The tour runs from 9 am until 4 pm and is open to the public. This tour will showcase five inspiring Master Gardener gardens as well as a school garden.
How is This Tour Different From Other Garden Tours?
This is not the standard tour of professionally landscaped gardens. These gardens have been designed, planted and maintained by Master Gardeners. Plants in the gardens are labeled and an extensive plant list for each garden in included in our brochure. Gardening experts will be on hand at each garden to answer questions and provide educational information to the public. Visit our Garden Boutique where a variety of unique items are for sale and don't forget to enter to win one of our great Drawing Items.

What is a Master Gardener?
Our volunteers are specially trained by the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension and have completed a comprehensive home horticulture-training program. In turn, a Master Gardener agrees to donate time assisting cooperative extension professionals in educating the gardening public. Real Gardens for Real People shares research-based information with the public on how to enhance their quality of life and that of their communities by conserving water and resources, reducing green waste, responsible use of chemical products, and teaching the benefits of home-grown vegetables and fruits, flowers and beautiful low-desert appropriate landscapes.
Our Goal
To encourage a progressive, integrated and environmentally responsible attitude toward gardening
