The Arizona State Land Department Forestry Division and the Arizona Community
Tree Council is pleased to announce the Urban and Community Forestry, Community
Challenge Grant Program.
Grants are available to eligible Arizona communities, non-profit corporations, and other groups on a competitive basis. The purpose of the grant program is to stimulate the development of necessary and effective urban and community forestry projects. The primary objective of the grant program is the use of volunteerism to enhance the urban forest in your community.
A wide range of projects are eligible for funding. Those that serve as many people as possible, involve volunteers, show knowledge of approved tree care techniques, and demonstrate an awareness of the benefits of trees and the importance of a local urban forestry program are encouraged. Among the many possible eligible activities are:
