Concerning the question about ATRAZINE and how it affects photosynthesis..
ATRAZINE is a carbon based compound found inherbicides and some pesticides
(for ants and some slugs).  Obviously, as an herbicide to kill unwanted 
plants and vegetation, it disrupts the photosynthetic cycle of a plant, 
resulting in eventual death.

If you go to the web and search for ATRAZINE, many sites are revealed that 
can further discourse beyond my immediate knowledge.  I do know that there 
are groundwater issues revolving aroung this chemical as a major pollutant.

This was a good question and I hope the lead proves interesting.
