[AG] Brown canna leaves

Do you garden in the Phoenix, Arizona area?  If we have a mild winter, some 
of the leaves will stay green all winter.  I read a couple of years ago that 
you should cut down the flower stalk (the whole thing, down to about 4-6" 
from the ground), so that is what I do.  I cut off the brown leaves back to 
the stalk - they are never going to be green again, so I get rid of them. I 
would imagine the best time for dividing is in the dormant stage - Dec to 
about March.
