March 11, 2003The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Arizona encompasses a wide array of teaching, research and extension programs, much of which is easily translated into reader and viewer friendly stories. CALS researchers and educators study and teach not only plant and animal systems, but in areas many people don't realize: environment and natural resources; human nutrition; food safety and health; families, youth and the community; and marketing, trade and economics.
CALS recently developed a web site, http://cals.arizona.edu/media, designed specifically for journalists. The site offers easy access to current information on programs and personnel in the college. Among the site's features are recent research activities and results, college publications, fact sheets and recent news stories.
Take a look around the site, bookmark it and send any comments on additional information you would like to find included in the site.
