    15. UA Features Retail Executive Education Program

    Retailing executives from Brazil will come to Tucson to learn about industry "best business practices" at the Southwest Retail Center for Education and Research "Retail Tools for Executives" program at the University of Arizona, January 16-23.

    UA retailing professors will present an intensive, 40-hour program for the 16 visiting Brazilian retailers. Topics will include the fundamentals of retail strategy, sales promotion and store layout and design, financial analysis and supply chain management. In addition to the rigorous curriculum, the group will visit several retail venues and distribution centers in Tucson, Phoenix and Scottsdale.

    Participants of this program include executives and consultants from specialty stores and drug stores throughout Brazil.

    The Retailing and Consumer Sciences program at the University of Arizona is one of the top programs in the country and offers an innovative, in-depth curriculum focused on consumer behavior, marketing, supply-chain management and international business. The Southwest Retail Center for Education and Research brings together the resources and expertise of academia with industry to present educational opportunities as part of its global outreach program.
