Welcome to the Lake Havasu City Master Gardener web site.
Lake Havasu City is located in the Sonoran desert along the shoreline of beautiful Lake Havasu, which was formed when Parker dam was constructed on the Colorado River.
Lake Havasu City, at an elevation of approximately 840 feet, is located in the LOW desert. It is located in USDA Climate Zone 9B/10, Sunset Zone 13 and Arizona Plant climate zone 5.
Temperatures during the summer months of June, July, August, and September average above 100o F and may reach 120oF or above so caution is advised when performing outdoor activities.
