4th NEMASYM RCN Meeting

“Origins and Evolution of Nematode-Bacteria Associations”

April 3rd , 2012

 

A one day meeting will take place at the Hawkins Conference Room, Wendt Laboratory Building. See Agenda link for further information

ACCOMMODATIONS

Participants who also plan to attend the Nematode Evolution meeting can simply indicate on the main registration form that they'll arrive early for NEMASYM. If housing is needed for the night of April 2nd, reservations and payment for this can be done through the regular registration process (by following the links at http://meetings.cshl.edu/meetings/worms12.shtml).

Housing arrangements have also been made for those participants only attending the NEMASYM meeting .  The housing rate is $220 per night, which includes all meals at Blackford Hall, the main cafeteria on campus.

To reserve a guest room on campus for the evenings of April 2nd and/or April 3rd, please contact the CSHL housing coordinator Andrea Newell (newell@cshl.edu) and make reference to the NEMASYM meeting.

 

REGISTRATION

The deadline for registration and abstract submission for NEMASYM oral presentations is March 2nd, 2011. Please fill the registration form (See Registration link)  and mail information to NEMASYM Director, Patricia Stock (spstock@email.arizona.edu).

FUNDING

NEMASYM will also provide support to those participants giving oral presentations at the NEMASYM meeting or presenting posters at the C. elegans Conference meeting. Preference will be given to students and postdocs.

The deadline to request travel funding is March 15, 2012.

To request funding, please provide the following information:
1.Curriculum vitae (2 pages max.). Include your name, address, institution, earned degrees, current degree program, honors and awards, research experience, and a list of publications and previous presentations.
 
2. Conference goals. Describe your scientific interests and goals and provide an explanation of how attending this meeting will benefit you.
 
3. Presentation title and abstract information. See Guidelines for abstract formatting in Registration link.
 
4. Letter from your supervisor (for students and postdoctoral associates) providing (1) a recommendation, (2) verification of your status, and (3) confirmation that the research presented was conducted by you (if you are not listed as the first author of the abstract you submit, your supervisor must explain your specific role in the research and how you have met this requirement).
 
5. Budget and budget justification, including airfare costs, per diem and accommodations and indicate other source of funding is applicable.
