The Sustainable Development of Drylands in Asia and the Middle East Project is designed to provide technology and training in:

• Training and education in Afghanistan
• Water use and reuse and environmental issues in Jordan
• Marketing and economics for Agribusiness in Yemen and Jordan
• Electronic Library facilities and training in Afghanistan

The funding source for this project, through a cooperative agreement, is the United States Agency for International Development/Asia and the Near East (USAID/ANE)

The parent organization for implementation of this project is the International Arid Lands Consortium (IALC)
