The Turf Irrigation workshop is designed for those in the Green Industry responsible for the maintenance of large turf areas. The workshop teaches the basic biology of turfgrass, environmental and cultural factors that affect irrigation, irrigation auditing and scheduling, and problem solving skills. The class will also cover hands on catch can placement in the field, and the simple calculation of the actual in field precipitation rate. From there the students will learn how long to schedule run times on stand alone field satellite stations for year round turf (Bermuda and Bermuda overseeded with rye). These workshops are offered twice in the spring (April).
