I am Sheryl Christenson coordinator of the Yuma Conservation Garden Inc.
a 501C3 not for profit. Our webpage is www.yumaedsupport.org follow the
Yuma Conservation Garden page. We have 49 lesson plans we use with
groups at the garden.
We are one of 21 Environmental Education centers sponsored by the
Natural Resource Conservation Districts in Arizona and recognized by the
Arizona State Land department as an Environmental Education Center.  We
run the botanical garden located on the Yuma County Fair Grounds 2520 E
32nd Street Yuma, AZ 85364. We have plants of the Sonoran Desert. We are
also a natural habitat. We have jackrabbits, roundtail ground squirrels,
cotton tail rabbits, doves, etc. 
Baloo, a 70 year old tortoise has an enclosure.
We open for the Fall Nov 5, 2005. Saturdays 9-5 Sundays 12-5 all winter.
We are closed on the weekends in the summer, but will do tours year
round.
