Please pass this on to all your JMG Clubs.


While it's cold outside, classrooms in your state can work on plans to
receive prize packages for a FREE spring garden.

Classrooms are invited to design a school garden using red, white, and
blue plant materials. These "America's Anniversary Gardens" celebrate
the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown - America's birthplace as the
first permanent settlement in the United States.

These garden designs can be simple container gardens such

or larger landscape garden designs such
as:http://www.ext.vt.edu/americasgarden/gardendesigns/landscapegarden.html


25 prize packages will be awarded and will include:

 - $250 cash award

 - JMG curriculum

 - seed and garden supplies


GRAND PRIZE NEWS! From those winning entries, one grand prize winning
garden will be selected. The grand prize winner will receive free
airfare courtesy AirTran Airways to fly up to 4 people representing the
winning group (tickets valued at $500 each)  to Jamestown, Virginia. In
addition the grand prize winner will receive 2 nights lodging (2 rooms
for 2 nights valued at $150 per room/night) and entrance to local
attractions of Colonial Williamsburg, Historic Yorktown, Jamestown
Sites, Busch Gardens, Water Country, USA (4 unlimited admission passes
valued at $180 each)

Garden plans must be received by Feb. 1, 2007 and should be sent with
the attached application to:
